Alice Cooper Wants Proof Of Vampires

A message from Alice Cooper:

“Where were you in the early 1970’s?  Los Angeles?  The Sunset Strip??  You probably remember more than I do!  After watching my copy of Super Duper Alice Cooper, I decided that I’d like to tell the story of The Hollywood Vampires, my drinking club that used to meet in the loft of the Rainbow Bar on Sunset Blvd.  Notable members were myself, Ringo Starr, Harry Nilsson, Micky Dolenz & Keith Moon, with regular drop in’s from just about everyone you could imagine.  We also had a baseball team that included many other rock stars of the time.

I want to preserve our legacy, and I need your blood!  I’m looking for photos, stories, artifacts and witnesses from this place in rock history.  If you saw a Vampire, tweet your story along with #HollywoodVampires!”

Hi! I know this is posted in the wrong place, but I can’t find a place to post anymore on this site. I don’t do instagram, facebook or twitter. Anyway, isn’t it the BALLAD OF DWIGHT FRY playing on the recently airing Qatar Airways One World video?? Search it on Youtube. Just FYI to all.

I just searched for this video and if we’re looking at the same video, it is not Dwight Fry that’s playing in the clip. Thanks for pointing it out!

    Dear Alice,
I goofed read that wrong. In 1970 I was 10 living in Everett, Washington. I remember first hearing you in 8th grade. My being raised Jehovah’s Witness, Mom didn’t like what she heard. I remember they played Schools out for us the last day of school over the loudspeaker system. Looking back that was pretty cool.
    Congratulations on your recovery.
By the way I have seen your home as I studied Architecture in Phoenix. On a job interview nearby the Architect pointed out your home from his window. I later toured the Copenhaver Castle and had the privilege of seeing an even better view. I have a son living in Tempe. I*i lived n the valley for 13 years.
I am listening with my 14 year old son. I was showing him my two Yes albums when you spoke about the Closer to the Edge album. I am sure yours also has the insert.

Awesome! That will make a great book/movie. I hope the response is overwhelming. Maybe there is some video/radio/print out there from those no longer with us. Imagine.
