New York, NY (March 10, 2014)–Banger Films, in association with Eagle Rock Entertainment, presents ALICE COOPER in Super Duper Alice Cooper, the brand new official ALICE COOPER documentary distributed by SpectiCast (As The Palaces Burn, Aerosmith: Rock for the Rising Sun, Morrissey 25: Live).
Super Duper Alice Cooper will premiere at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival and will hit theaters nationwide beginning May 30, 2014. The film is the first ever ‘doc opera’ – a dizzying blend of documentary archive footage, animation and rock opera that will cement forever the legend of ALICE COOPER.
In order to make Super Duper Alice Cooper as interactive for his devoted fans as he possibly can, ALICE COOPER is putting together a special pre-recorded “Keep Calm & Go Ask Alice” Q&A that will run following each theatrical screening. In order for Alice to give some wild answers, he’ll require some burning questions from fans, so he’s inviting YOU to ask him anything now via www.SuperDuperAliceCooper.com (click the “Keep Calm & Go Ask Alice” graphic). Once the submission period is closed, Alice will personally handpick select questions and answer them via video, serving as the aforementioned Q&A. So, do you want your question to be answered in the pre-recorded ALICE COOPER Q&A running after each and every screening in the U.S.? Of course you do!  Submit your questions now via www.SuperDuperAliceCooper.com.

Super Duper Alice Cooper is the twisted tale of a teenage Dr. Jekyll whose rock n’ roll Mr. Hyde almost kills him. It is the story of Vincent Furnier, a preacher’s son who struck fear into the hearts of parents as ALICE COOPER, the ultimate rock star of the bizarre. From the advent of Alice as front man for a group of Phoenix freaks in the 60’s to the hazy decadence of celebrity in the 70s to his triumphant comeback as 80s glam metal godfather, we will watch as Alice and Vincent battle for each other’s’ souls. Alice’s story is told not only by the man himself, but through exclusive interviews with members of the original ALICE COOPER band, Elton JohnIggy PopJohn Lydon, and Dee Snider.
Super Duper Alice Cooper is the creation of Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn at Banger Films, producers of Iron Maiden: Flight 666 (2009 SXSW Audience Choice Winner) and Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage (2010 Grammy-nominated and Tribeca Audience Choice Winner), and much-lauded filmmaker Reginald Harkema, winner of the TIFF Special Jury Prize for his film Monkey Warfare.

Hi Alice, do you ever plan to release Alice Cooper – The Nightmare (TV special) on DVD. As far as I know it was only ever released on VHS and Beta.

  • Ray

Alice, I think it would be great to sit down for dinner and conversation with you sometime. You are articulate, informed and engaging in conversation. How can a fan host you for dinner?

  • Hope you reply this time !!!

Will you be touring welcome 2 my nightmare properly anytime soon or has promotion for that album been and gone? Also, you’ve mentioned numerous times that might as well be on mars is one of your favourite songs that you’ve written. Why have you never performed it live? Could you please play it next time you come to englend?

Hey Alice! Saw you on stage on Halloween last year. I was wondering if you know, personally or not, Seether, Shinedown, or Sick Puppies.

will the Super duper Alice Cooper ‘doc opera’ be shown in Australian cinema? if so do you know what date it will be?

  • buddy

I do have a serious question, I am understanding this upcoming tour will be the crue’s final one. Does that mean this will be Alice’s final tour?

    • admin

Definitely not. Alice was simply asked to do the tour because it would be the last time possible to ever do so, and touring together is something that both Alice and Motley have always wanted to do. But Alice has no intentions to stop touring any time soon!

Well, Roxanne, I think the answer to your question about the money for the meet and greets should be directed to management. I doubt Alice has a say in that. He is more than happy to meet the fans and really does care about them. I’m very excited to have spent that $500 to meet Alice in November! It will be worth every penny! Alice has said he doesn’t need the money and he still records and tours because he loves to and is still able to. He enjoys life, and that’s the ticket to staying young-hearted. Go for it, Alice!

    • buddy

I couldn’t agree with you more Brenda, because I agree with you 100%. If It was up to me, I would pay $500 for V.I.P. then give Alice $500 personally just so I could say “IM NOT WORTHY!” People pay cause WE LOVE ALICE! Not cause we wanna stalk him. Everybody should be allowed equal amount of time in the meet & greet. (He doesn’t have all day;)

      • I loved meeting Alice since Ive been a fan since 1972 !! def. worth the $$ gona do it again Redbank N J only 8 fans …but other bands that do that give ya front row seats !!! that should be part of the $500 !! but still doin it this yr !!!

        • Hey Alice you have an unt that lived in Fords N J …my mom is a hairdresser she did her hair in the early 90s !!! small world & me a fan since 72 !!!

      • I did VIP to meet Alice do it again …wana know why front row seats don’t come with pakage like other performers do ???? Donna Fan since1972 !!

  • Karen Eager

Alice, when you pass out of this life, how do you want to be remembered?

  • Sam Wilkes

When are you coming to the uk?

  • You’ve performed with your two older kids, is your youngest daughter look as though she’ll be following either you or Sheryl’s footsteps?

    • admin

Calico is an actress in Los Angeles and is getting into directing as well. Sonora is more behind the scenes – she is an accomplished makeup artist. She’s done a few tours with us but I don’t think she will be performing on stage as a career.

  • I remember reading back in the ’70s that your Mom and Dad owned a couple of stores. I also heard they were victims of arsonists. Is this true?

  • Mark Stolar

Seems like alot of classic rock bands are doing their hit albums in their entirety. Raise the Dead tour had great cover songs!! Have you ever considered a complete show with just songs( by you ) that are not normally on your set list? Business dictates you have to do your hits, but to your truly loyal fans-we would love it if you could dig deep into your own collection of great songs.

  • Rob

If the funding was available would you want to adapt any of the old albums into a musical or would you want to create something new working with somebody like Alan Menken ?
Or have considered doing shows for instance that would see a complete performance of a classic album such as Killer, School`s Out, B$B etc ,as a first half followed by a compilation set as a second half ?

    • admin

Very funny you mention this. This scenario has actually happened. Sort of. I won’t say with whom but the idea has been talked about. Eventually I think it will happen, but the timing has to be right to turn Alice into a musical.

As for the complete performance of one entire album, it would be tough to do. But a cool idea!

  • When you made billion dollar babies the song was making fun of how much the band was making and seeming to make fun of the fans by throwing and teasing them with money.Do you see the fans as $$$ or do you care about them or just another concert, just another $500.00,just a couple pictures,ok, move on,next?
