HUNTINGTON, WV -The Godfather of Shock Rock took the stage by storm in Huntington, WV Wednesday night.

Alice Cooper put on his giant top hat and twirled his cane as the curtain dropped, strutted across the stage and belted out a great show at Big Sandy Superstore Arena.

The world-famous singer has been going for nearly five decades, taking his macabre stage act to fans of all ages.

With Halloween getting closer, the show made for a night of spooky entertainment complete with straight jackets, live snakes, and a guillotine.

Alice has recorded many hits over the years including “I’m Eighteen”, “No More Mister Nice Guy”, and “Poison”.

He and his band reached out to veterans by offering them free tickets to the show.

“I enjoy it and Alice is great because he lets the veterans in for free and he don’t owe us nothing, but at least he thinks about us and everything like that” said Billy Murphy of South Charleston, WV.

Despite chilly temperatures, a great crowd turned out for the show.

  • Been to at least 30 Alice Cooper concerts and the “Raise The Dead Tour” showcases Alice’s talent perfectly. He knows how to treat all his fans and it is, by far, the best concert experience for all ages. My mother in law, and the rest of my family love Alice and we all went backstage after the show for a VIP meet and greet. Something we will never forget. Alice is. hands down, the best entertainer in the world. Alice just keeps getting better with every concert.

I was at the Huntington WV show and it was fantastic…Alice just keeps getting better as time goes on…I am the first of my family of 4 generations of fans for 40 plus years..myself, daughter, grand daughter and 2 yr. old great grandson (in training) Would love to do a meet and greet one day if I can ever afford it…I am #1 fan because ALICE is a devoted husband, father and Christian plus an awesome performer, song writer and brilliant businessman….Keep on rocking Alice and please come back to Huntington WV next year so I can get pit tickets for me and my daughter once again…WOW

the Huntington show was another Cooper classic for me. Absolutely the best all around concert experience I have ever had. Meeting Mr. Cooper after the show was the ultimate for me and my wife. The guy is a fine gentleman to talk to. He signed all my records and posters, even Peggy Sue’ shirt that the Executioner blasted. I wish him and his wife and family the very best of what life has to offer. They are in their prime and loving it. The American dream !
